To recognise this, the Centre has taken up the undertaking of developing one hundred national waterways, with the intention of seeing world-class cruise ships running on these waterways in addition to cargo movement. 12 initiatives amounting to Rs. 1,098 Cr. are being undertaken to enhance infrastructure associated to cruise shipping in India.
