United States Of America Sanctions On DPRK Ballistic Missile
The United States of America (USA) sanctions five DPRK entities, according to Executive Order (E.O.) 13382, which targets proliferators of mass destruction weapons (WMD) and their capabilities for delivery. This action corresponds to the DPRK's ongoing development of its WMD and ballistic missile software, which was in violation of the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). The Department of Treasury's Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) represents the DPRK Ministry of Rocket Industry and four subordinate companies, Unchon Trading Corporation, Sungnisan Trading Corporation, Hapjanggang Trading Corporation, and Corea Rounsan Trading Corporation. The Ministry of Rocket Industry is subordinate to the DPRK Works Industry Department, which aims to inspect DPRK missile systems and was established by the Department of State in 2010. The DPRK Rocket Industry Ministry works with DPRK overseas representatives from other DPRK organizations to provide assistance to the Ministry of Rocket Industry. Escalating missile systems from the DPRK are included in at least three recent intercontinental ballistic missile systems - a clear violation of the UNSC resolutions and pose a serious threat for the regional and international stability and peace and also for security. We will continue to coordinate closely with our allies and allies to address the threats faced by the DPRK and promote our common goal of complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. We remain committed to the DPRK and we call on the DPRK to join the conference. At the same time, we continue to urge all UNSC Members to fully enforce UNSC resolutions by addressing the DPRK to compel its capability to promote unjust WMD and ballistic missile software. As a result of today's sanctions, any property or utility in the properties of designated persons, in the possession or control of US persons or entities or in the United States, is prohibited, and the US is prohibited from prohibiting any designated areas.
